💷 Salary: £12.51 – £13.00 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs across hotel facilities (guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house).
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify and resolve issues.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned maintenance tasks.

2. Plumbing Support

• Fix leaks, unclog drains, and repair plumbing fixtures.
• Support hotel departments with plumbing-related maintenance requests.

3. Basic Electrical Work

• Carry out small electrical repairs (e.g., replacing light fixtures, switches, etc.).
• Ensure safe handling of electrical tools and basic components as required.

4. Carpentry & Fittings

• Repair/adjust doors, locks, furniture, fittings, and general carpentry items.
• Maintain overall functionality and appearance of hotel interiors.

5. Requests, Records & Safety

• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance service requests.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and report completed tasks to the maintenance supervisor/management.
• Follow all health & safety guidelines to keep the work environment safe.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Handyman / Maintenance Technician (hospitality experience is a plus).
• Good knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Physically fit (able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training/certifications are an advantage.
